Entry requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. However it would be advantageous if learners have studied similar unit content at Level 2. It is recommended that learners have, or are working towards, a grade 4/grade C or above in maths and English GCSEs.
What will I study?
This qualification is suitable for learners
• studying to prepare for employment in the business sector
• who want to progress into business-related apprenticeships 
• who want to gain a level 3 qualification to support further study in Further Education (FE) or to progress to Higher Education (HE) in business 
• studying for career development and who are already in employment.  
Assesment
Two of the five units covered are exam based. They are graded pass, merit, distinction and distinction*. The other three units are internally assessed and externally moderated.
What skills will I gain?
It will provide learners with the opportunity through applied learning to develop the core specialist knowledge, skills and understanding required in the business sector.  
Studying beyond the classroom 
The course has been designed in collaboration with experts spanning the breadth of the sector, the Cambridge Technical in business focuses on the skills, knowledge and understanding that today’s universities and employers demand.
Future pathways
This, combined with other qualifications, will provide learners with the skills, knowledge andunderstanding to progress into Higher Education (HE) on a business-related programme such as Business, Business Management, Marketing, Business and Finance, Business and Economics and Accounting. It will also allow them to choose non-business related degree programmes or take them into employment where they would continue to study.
