Standard Entry Requirements

Standara Entry Requirements for 2024

Students are required to select 3 A level linear or equivalent courses.  In addition they may also choose to study either Core Mathematics or the Extended Project Qualification.  We are open to students who wish to study 4 courses subject to a discussion with the Head of 6th Form.

All students will be continually assessed throughout the year and end of year examinations will be held in both years 12 and 13.  These may be either external or internal depending upon the course.

To join Bramcote College Sixth Form we require a minimum of 5 pass grades at GCSE (minimum of grade 5).  Many subjects also require students to achieve a grade 6 in either the subject area or a related subject to continue studying at a higher level.  Please see the individual entry requirements for each subject below for further information.

If you do not meet the standard entry requirements above then please do speak to us.

Please note that meeting the requirements of any course does not automatically guarantee that applicants will be offered a place on their preferred path.  Places are dependent upon the viability of each course.
